A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT - 2022
Ashlen V. Williams, NOMA, AIA
My warmest greetings to you all, I hope this message ļ¬ nds you well and enjoying a safe, healthy start to 2022. As I begin leading lead our chapter with its rich legacy, I am humbled and honored at the opportunity to help shape the future of this organization.
As our chapter continues to grow, evolve, and respond to the challenges of our times, Iād like to thank our members, friends, and partners for their continued support of our work championing diversity and equity in our industry. The mission of I-NOMA to foster justice and equity for communities of color and in the practice of Architecture is ever important and will only be achieved by our coming together as an industry to make bold changes and forge a new path forward.
On behalf of the Executive Board, we are excited about the year ahead and look forward to developing programming and opportunities that elevate and amplify the work of our members.
ELEVATING THE NEXT GENERATION
While we continue to expand our Project Pipeline offerings to reach under-represented communities, the work this year will focus on strengthening our professional development programming to promote design excellence and elevate the next generation of architects, community leaders, principals, firm owners, and Fellows. This will include more CEU qualified programming, inter-organizational partnerships and networking opportunities, and generally, increased support for the goals of our professional members.
The Board and Committee Leadership invite you to join us this year as we renew our commitment to the values that unite us. I encourage you to reach out to me at president@i-noma.org to share your thoughts on the progress thus far and discuss how we can partner to further support the I-NOMA mission. It will take all of us to bring about the change that we want to see, but I have every confidence in the exuberance and strength of the I-NOMA family.
With great appreciation, I look forward to seeing you all at our events this year!
Sincerely,
Ashlen V. Williams, NOMA, AIA
